Postbots is a chat app for building bots. Open it from the Postbots button in the app header, press +, and tell a new bot what you want it to do. It names itself and sets up what it needs. You can rename it from the chat header, and starter jobs are there if you're not sure where to begin.
A bot can check Reddit, Hacker News, Bluesky and Google News on a schedule and tell you in the chat, and by email, when something worth your attention turns up. It can also search the web when you ask, and read your channels and posts to draft new ones for you to save or schedule. Bots never post on their own. All your bots share what they know about you, so a new one doesn't start from scratch.
